As a regular Trader, you receive 5% of the amount of profit your Investor makes.
As a PRO Trader, you can adjust the commission amount of profit your Investor makes.
How is the commission calculated?
Trader’s commission = commission size (%) * Investor’s profit.
Let's say, the Investor started copying you with 10$ and earned 5$.
Thus, the Trader’s commission will be calculated as follows:
Commission = 0.05 (i.o. 5%) * $5 = $0.25.
This amount is based on the profit earned by the Investor, not on the profit earned by the Trader.
For example:
The Investor makes an investment of $100 and earns $5 during the first week. The commission paid is 0.05 * $5 = $0.25. It will be paid to the Trader, regardless of whether the Investor closes the investment or keeps it open (in this case commission will be paid on Sunday).
If the Investor closes their investment at this point, they receive $4.75 profit.
However, let's say the Investor doesn't close the investment. By the end of next week, their investment equity becomes $111, so the amount of all the profit earned during the investment period is $11 ($111 - $100 = $11).
The commission paid would be 0.05 * $11= $0.55 (in addition to previously paid $0.25).
The overall amount of commission for two weeks = $0.55 + $0.25= $0.8.
Next week, the equity of investment raises to $132, which means, the overall profit is $21.
The commission would be 0.05 * $21= $1.05 (in addition to the previously received commission of $0.8).
The Trader's overall commission for three weeks = $0.55 + $0.25 + $1.05 = $1.85.
The calculations for the following weeks will be processed in a similar manner.
Please keep in mind that in the CopyTrade application, the Investor sees the profit minus commission.
