When copying a Trader you can set Take Profit and Stop Loss for your investment.
Take Profit - expects to close an investment when it reaches a certain amount of profit.
Stop Loss - expects to close an investment when it reaches a certain amount of loss.
To set Stop Loss and/or Take Profit:
- Insert the amount of your investment.
- Switch Take Profit and/or Stop Loss on.
- 1. For Stop Loss insert the amount which is tolerable for you to spend in case the Trader starts loosing.
Please, take notice that you need to put the minus sign (-) before that amount.
Example: Your investment amount is 100$.
You can afford an $80 span.
You insert the following: -80
In this case, when your balance reaches $20, your investment will be stopped.
2. For Take Profit insert the amount of profit at which you want your investment to be closed.
Example: Your investment amount is $100.
You want to gain a $50 profit.
You insert the following: 50
In this case, when your profit reaches the $50 level, your investment will be stopped. - Click “Confirm” and start copying!
Also, you can set the Stop Loss and/or Take Profit levels for an open investment as well.
To do this:
- Open your current investment.
- Click on the “Edit” or “Edit investment” button.
- Switch Take Profit and/or Stop Loss on.
- 1. For Stop Loss insert the amount which is tolerable for you to spend in case the Trader starts loosing.
Please, take notice that you need to put the minus sign (-) before that amount.
2. For Take Profit insert the amount of profit at which you want your investment to be closed. - Click “Confirm” and continue copying!
Please, take into consideration that Stop Loss doesn’t guarantee 100% execution at the set profit/loss level due to the sharp movement of the quotes. This option only reduces risks.
According to the CopyTrader Agreement:
2.8 An Investor accepts the risks of losing money notwithstanding the activated and set stop loss or take profit. These parameters may trigger by the amounts different from what was set. It may happen due to the market conditions and the level of risk per Trader.
